Yuhuan stands at the middle part of the Gold Coast of the coast of Southeast Zhejiang. Being at the junction of 121° East Longitude and 28°North Latitude in the subtropical monsoon climate belt, it has the annual average temperature of 18.3°C, average rainfall of 1351.9 mm and non-frost period about 283 days in 2006. As one of the 13 island counties in China, Yuhuan covers 2,279 square kilometers of total area including 378 square kilometers of land area. Yuhuan with the total population of 0.4023 million has 6 towns and 3 villages under control, i.e., Zhugang Town (including Chengguan Office, Kanmen Office and Chenyu Office), Chumen Town, Qinggang Town, Lupu Town, Ganjiang Town, Shamen Town, Longxi Village, Jishan Village and Haishan Village (Administrative Region Map of Yuhuan).
